Abortion is racist.

Consider these facts:

  1. In 2016, the Centers for Disease Control reported that in 2016, 38% of the abortions reported from 32 reporting areas representing most of the United States were obtained by black women, who comprise less than 14% of the women in the United States.i The abortion rate for black women in those reporting areas was 3.8 times greater than that for white women in those reporting areas. 401 abortions were obtained by black women per 1,000 live births to black women. That is, in 2016, approximately 29% of the pregnancies of black women were terminated, as opposed to approximately 10% of the pregnancies of white women.
  2. Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the country, locates 62% of their abortion clinics in black and minority communities.ii
  3. Over the last 47 years, it is estimated that 19 million black babies have been killed by abortion. iii

Black lives do matter, and abortion is racist.
